NOTICE OF PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING

When you enter the Ralph King Athletic Centre (RKAC) for an athletics event or program, you enter an area and venue where photography, audio, and video recording may take place.

By entering the venue premises for an athletics event, you consent to the use of of your image, likeness, actions, and/or statements in connection with all forms of photography, audio, and video recordings for their release, publication, and/or reproduction to be used for promotional purposes, advertising, website, social media, news, live streams/webcasts, and/or any other purpose by Concordia University of Edmonton, it's employees, and authorized representatives. Images, photos, audio and video recordings may be used to promote and highlight similar athletics events in the present or in the future.

By entering the venue premises, you waive all rights and claims to receive compensation in connection to the use of your image, likeness, actions, and/or statements in connection with all forms of photography, audio, and video recordings, including (but not limited to) the above mentioned reasons, regardless of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship was charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, audio and/or video recording taken by Concordia University of Edmonton, it's employees, and/or authorized representatives. You release Concordia University of Edmonton, it's employees, representatives, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of images, photographs, audio and video recordings.

OUTSIDE PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING

Concordia University of Emdonton Thunder Athletics supports outside individuals (non-Concordia University of Edmonton employees and/or authorized representatives) to take amateur photography, audio, and video recording for personal use, as part of the fan experience as a spectator (regardless of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship was charged), subject to the applicable rules, guidlines and laws that are a part of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP), Canadian Copyright Act, and/or any other rules and regulations addressing an individuals rights for privacy.

Outside professional photographers are permitted to apply in writing to the Athletics Director to have access and permission to take pictures during specifed athletics events. Only once permission has been granted in writing from the Athletics Director, may a professional photographer take pictures at an event to use for non-personal use, and would be subject to the applicable rules, guidlines and laws that are a part of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP), Canadian Copyright Act, and/or any other rules and regulations addressing an individuals rights for privacy. A professional photographer will provide (upon request) digital copies to all photos, audio, and/or video recordings to Concordia University of Edmonton, in the the original photo file and free of watermarks and/or logos. Photos, audio, and/or video recordings are not permitted to be taken and/or used for commercial purposes. Concordia University of Edmonton will do it's best to provide credit where possible for all photos, audio, and/or video recordings, taken by an outside professional photographer.
