Two Recruits Commit to Thunder Badminton Program For 2018/19
The Thunder Badminton program is pleased to announce two recruits for the 2018/19 season. Emil Wong and Kennedy Turcotte have committed to Concordia University of Edmonton and will be a great addition to the Thunder Badminton team this fall.
EMIL WONG
Emil is a graduate from Ross Sheppard High School. He is joining his brother Raphael on the team. He competed in High School provincials this year where he and his partner finished 4th. Welcom Emil!
KENNEDY TURCOTTE
Kennedy is from Falher, Alberta and is joining her sister Kassidy on the badminton and golf teams at Concordia. She has participated in the 2015-17 ASAA Golf Provincials and she just recently won the bronze medal in 2017. She has participated in the 2018 Arctic Winter Games for badminton. She won a gold medal in mixed doubles, silver in women's doubles and a bronze in singles. She has also competed the last 3 years at the ASAA High School Badminton Provincials, capturing the bronze on the B side in mixed doubles this past year. Welcome Kennedy!
