Strong Finish for the Thunder at ACAC North Regional

Lac La Biche, AB - September 16, 2018

The rain continued to fall on Day 2 of the ACAC North Regional in Lac La Biche, AB however the Thunder golf team pervailed and had a great finish to the day. 

On the men's side, Connor Beeston finished the tournament 2nd overall shooting a +6 on the day and a score of 152 over the weekend. Nicolas Pittman also had a great day shooting +9 on the day leaving him in 9th place to end the tournament. Michael Lastiwka(15th), Dylan Brown(17th), and Riley Gaudet(19th) all finished in the top 20! Overall the men's team placed second in the team standings shooting a combined score of 664.

On the women's side, Kassidy Turcotte would finish the tournament in 5th place shooting +13 on the day while her younger sister Kennedy Turcotte finished her first ACAC golf tournament in 7th(+19). The women's team shot a combined score of 364 on the weekend finishing in 2nd place.

The Thunder did claim the Mixed Team title this weekend shooting a combined score of 493!

The ACAC South Regional will take place on September 22-23 at Mill Woods Golf Course in Edmonton, AB.
