Thunder Golfers Striking the Ball Well at the North Regional
On Saturday morning the ACAC golf season was underway as the MacEwan Griffin's hosted the ACAC North Regional at RedTail Landing.
In the women's field, Thunder's Kassidy Turcotte led the pack on both days of competition shooting a 74 and 76 for a total of +6 overall. Behind her was Carey McLean of SAIT (+19) and her older sister Kassidy Turcotte (+25). Overall the Thunder women's team finished in 1st place with a total score of 319.
In the men's draw, Nicolas Pittman led the way for the Thunder shooting an impressive 68 (-4) on the final round to finish in 3rd place. In front of him was Justin Berget of MacEwan (-5) and Michael Harrison of Augustana (-4).
The Thunder mixed team claimed 2nd place with a total of 469 behind the Trojans who scored 455.

The Thunder will look to build momentum from this tournament as they prepare for the ACAC South Regional at Valley Ridge Golf Course in Calgary, AB from September 21-22, 2019.
