A tight battle between the Keyano Huskies and Concordia Thunder resulted in a 1-0 decision for the Huskies

EDMONTON, AB (October 1^st, 2022) – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder starts off the October month hosting the Keyano Huskies.

Keyano opens with a deep entry pass into Concordia's crease and with a clear shot Keyano opened the scoring to make it 1-0 in the 2^nd minute of the game, scored by #8 Sophie Griffith. The Thunder did not give in, however, it lead to a tightly contested opening frame with both teams getting consistent chances to score. The second half continued along the same pace, with lots of offense generated from each side but an inability to get anything past the netminder. Despite the strong offense from both team, Sophie's opening goal was the only score of the game.

The One Team Sport players of the game were #14 Bianca Palavelino for the Huskies and #2 Beth Crothers from your Concordia Thunder. The next home game for the Thunder will be October 15^th against the Lakeland Rustlers.
