Visiting Huskies take down Thunder

EDMONTON AB – It only took 3 sets for the visiting Keyano Huskies (1-5) to take down the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder (1-3).

After a very close comeback in the first set, the Huskies were able to secure the victory by finishing the set off with back to back points after 4 unanswered points by the Thunder. In the second set the Thunder put up a fight but ultimately came out short with 21 points to the Huskies 25.

Next weekend the Concordia Thunder will take on Lakeland in their home-home series while Keyano will have a bye week and faceoff against Lakeland the week following. The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the Thunder was #7 Shae McDonald with a game high 22 digs, and for the Huskies was #13 Raisa Stokes contributing 14 digs
