Thunder complete the sweep against the visiting Ooks

EDMONTON AB – Concordia University of Edmonton take on the visiting NAIT Ooks in their second game of this weekends series. The Thunder swept the Ooks, winning tonight's game with a score of 3 sets to 1
The Ooks came out strong taking an early lead in the first set, but the Thunder fought back in extra points to capture the first set 26-24. The Thunder then took the second set with a score of 25-18 and were able to capitalize on missed serves and completed kills. The Ooks lead for almost the entirety of the 3rd set, taking an early lead and although the Thunder cut that lead and it seemed as though it might have been the start of a comeback, the Ooks finished them off with a score of 25-14. The 4th set was won by the home team with a score of 25-18.
The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the visiting Ooks was #7 Karly Kupka and for the Thunder was #14 Tanielle Yacey. Next weekend the Ooks will take on Keyano, and the Thunder will take on The Kings University.
