Thunder Lose In Straights To The Huskies

EDMONTON, AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder welcomed the Keyano Huskies in Friday night volleyball action to kick off their weekend series. The Huskies jumped out to an early lead and never looking backed as they swept the Thunder 3-0.

In the first set, the Huskies came flying out of the gate as they grabbed an early lead over the Thunder. They carried this momentum throughout the set as they took the first 25-15. This momentum carried into the second set as the Huskies quickly jumped out to an early lead that was too much for the Thunder as Keyano took the second set 25-20. The third set was more of the same, as Keyano took control early and never looked back as they took the third set over the Thunder 25-17 to sweep the match.

The Huskies and Thunder meet again tomorrow for an afternoon matinee to conclude their weekend series. The Thunder will no doubt be looking to settle the score and leave the weekend with a series split.

The Kahunaverse Players of the Game were #6 Lauren Huntley for the Keyano Huskies and #9 Tianna Smith for the Thunder.
