Thunder Women's Volleyball Triumphs Over Northwestern Polytechnic in Three-Set Sweep

In a commanding performance, the Concordia Thunder women's volleyball team dominated the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves in straight sets with scores of 25-23, 25-23, and 25-11. 

Concordia set the pace early in the match, with Jolene Cooke and Emma Thompson delivering powerful kills, creating a formidable offensive combination. Renae Regal orchestrated the team's play with precision, contributing 20 assists in the game, while Tanisha Cronin and Kara McIntyre delivered consistent performances to secure sets one and two, combining for 19 digs in the first two sets.

The third set saw the Thunder continue their dominance, with continued strong play from Jolene Cooke and her team high 14 kills in the match, preventing the Wolves from establishing any rhythm. Northwestern Polytechnic struggled to find an answer to Concordia's relentless attack, ultimately succumbing to a straight set defeat.

Thunder Women's Volleyball will be back at home tomorrow, looking maintain their momentum as they go up against the Wolves for a second time. With this win, the team's record improves to 5-9. They continue to hold onto a playoff spot as we head down the final stretch of games.
