Chamberlin Commits to Thunder Cross Country and Indoor Track Team
EDMONTON, AB – May 13, 2019
The Concordia Thunder Cross Country Running and Indoor Track program is extremely excited to announce that Taylor Chamberlin will be the joining team for the 2019-20 season. Taylor is currently a student at Strathcona High School in Edmonton, AB and is a multi-sport athlete who also plays basketball for the Lords. This past season she finished 7th overall in the senior girl's division at the Alberta High School Cross Country Provincial Championships in October.
"Taylor is a great addition for our program for next year" said head coach Matt Norminton. "We have a couple of seniors leaving us and she'll fit in great with our returning girls. We'll be looking for her to contribute to the team right away".
The Thunder women finished 3rd at both the ACAC Cross Country and Indoor Track championships this past season and made their 3rd trip in 4 years to the CCAA national championships where they finished 10th place overall. Taylor will enter the faculty of Sciences in September and begin training with the team this summer.
Thunder Athletics and the Cross Country & Indoor Track team are looking forward to welcoming Taylor to Concordia this September!
