Chesoo Earns CCAA Silver Medal at Cross Country Nationals

EDMONTON, AB - NOV 13, 2018

The Thunder Cross country represented Concordia University at the CCAA Cross Country National Championships hosted by Seneca College in Toronto, ON this past weekend where Leonard Chesoo took home the silver medal. 

It was an all ACAC battle at the top of the men's podium. Matt Travaglini of SAIT ran a time of 26:19 earning him the CCAA gold medal. Just like many races throughout the season, Leonard Chesoo of Concordia finished right behind him with a time of 27:22 to claim the CCAA silver. Mathhew Hope from Red Deer College posted a time of 28:01 for the bronze. 

On the women's side, the Thunder finished in 10th place for the team event. Elise nawrocki had an amazing race posting a time of 24:43 finishing in 9th place individually. The Thunder women's team was represented by Bailey Troccoli-Hughes (26:43), Ana Zulic (27:12), Mienna Staroslieski (28:33), Rebekka Hay (29:34), Madison Masterson (33:12).
