Chesoo's 2nd Place Finish Helps Concordia Capture 5th Place at 2023 ACAC Cross-Country Championships

(LETHBRIDGE, AB) The Concordia Thunder made their mark at the ACAC Cross-Country Championships held on Saturday, October 28, at Nicholas Sheran Park in Lethbridge. Hosted by Lethbridge College, this prestigious event brought together top athletes from various institutions, who battled through snowy weather conditions to capture both individual medals and ACAC team championships.

The Concordia Thunder secured a commendable 5th place finish as a team. A standout moment for the Thunder came through the remarkable performance of Leonard Chesoo, who blazed through the 8 km course with remarkable speed. Leonard's outstanding run earned him a well-deserved second-place finish in the 2023 ACAC Men's Cross-Country Championships, completing the route in an impressive time of 26 minutes and 21 seconds. With the second-place finish, Chesoo has qualified for CCAA Nationals, being held Saturday November 11th in Truro, Nova Scotia.
