Thunder Strikes: CUE Leads 3-0 Over King's Eagles

Thunder Strikes: CUE Leads 3-0 Over King's Eagles

EDMONTON, AB (October 6th, 2023) – In tonight's battle of Edmonton we witnessed an exciting matchup as the Concordia Thunder (CUE) clashed with the King's Eagles (TKU) in a game that showcased talent from both sides.

Concordia Thunder displayed their dominance from the outset, controlling the game with precision. In a testament to their defensive strategy, TKU struggled to make any shots on target, as CUE's defense stifled their every move. The Thunder's best defense turned out to be their relentless offense, as they maintained possession throughout the match. The final scoreline of 3-0 in favor of CUE reflected their clinical finishing and cohesive teamwork. Goals came from a diverse range of Thunder players, with Audrey French, Makkayla Agar, and Angela Saporito all finding the back of the net.

In recognition of their standout contributions, the One Team Sport players of the game were #11 Brooke Lesoway for the Concordia Thunder (CUE) and #12 Zoe Gerein for the King's Eagles (TKU). Lesoway's dynamic play and Gerein's determined performance left a lasting impact on the match.

Despite the scoreline, both teams displayed admirable dedication and sportsmanship. The Concordia Thunder now looks ahead to their upcoming match tomorrow afternoon against the Lakeland Rustlers at 12PM.
