Concordia Thunderstorms to Victory, Abubaker Scores Four Against Voyageurs

(EDMONTON, AB) Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) hosted the Portage Voyageurs at the Jasper Place Bowl for the first time this season. The Thunder emerged victorious against the Voyageurs with a resounding 4-1 final.

The match was defined by the remarkable performance of Ahmed Abubaker from the Thunder. Abubaker single-handedly dominated the game, scoring all four goals for his team. His goals came at the 25th, 42nd, 58th, and 69th minutes of the match, demonstrating both his skill and precision on the field.

The Voyageurs did manage to get on the scoreboard, thanks to a penalty shot by Nathan Roebroeck at the 83rd minute. However, it proved to be a consolation goal as Concordia had already built a commanding lead. The game was marked by some heated moments, with a total of five yellow cards shown to players from both teams.

In terms of shots and saves, Concordia University of Edmonton held the upper hand, with 15 shots compared to Portage College's 7. Rostyslav Leha, the goalkeeper for Concordia, made four crucial saves, while Tanner Davidson-Sykes of Portage College made eight saves to keep his team in the game.
