EDMONTON, AB - On Friday night the Thunder looked well rested in their first game back from the fall semester break as they defeated their divisional rivals the NAIT Ooks 83-75.
Thunders #09 Ryan McLaren (33 points) and #05 Brett Jakubec (21 points) had strong performances to drive the Thunder offense to victory. The player of the game for the Nait Ooks was #06 Brad MacKay who had a team high of 26 points and 8 defensive rebounds.
This is a big win for the Thunder as they improve to 9-4 and move into 2nd spot in the north division. The Ooks drop to 8-5 and currently sit 3rd in the north. The two teams will face each other for the last time during the regular season Saturday night at NAIT.
