Thunder end their 2018 with a loss to the Wolves

EDMONTON AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder were looking to bounce back after their first and only loss of 2018 against the visiting Grand Prairie Regional College (GPRC) Wolves. The Wolves got the better of the Thunder by a score of 80-74.

At the end of the first quarter, the Thunder were able to capitalize on a few turn overs and walk out of the 1st with a score of 27-19. The second quarter the Wolves were able to make up some ground by outscoring the Thunder 21-18. Not enough for the Thunder to worry too much, but they walked into the second half of the game confident and hoping to hold on to the lead. The second quarter the Thunder started missing more shots, and the Wolves started making a lot more and took over the lead in the 4th quarter. The Wolves finished strong and was able to extend their lead and finish off the Thunder in the dying minute of the game.

This will conclude 2018 for both teams, the Thunder will be safely in 1st, and the Wolves will be 3rd. The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the visiting Wolves was # 10 Payton Tirrell and for the Thunder was #15 Ronald Bacon Jr.
