Thunder looking strong first game back since the break!

EDMONTON AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder took down the visiting Lakeland Rustlers by a score of 81-66.

The Thunder started off on the right stride, pulling away early, ending the first quarter with a score of 25-6. Since the first lead, the Thunder kept the pressure on and did not give up many points to the Rustlers. The deciding factor was the Thunders ability to force turnovers and capitalize in their opportunities in the paint.

The Rustlers did fight back in the second half of the game and was able to close the lead substantially, outscoring the Thunder in the 3^rd quarter and keeping it tight in the 4^th, which let them walk away with a much more even score than had they gave up similar points in the first half.

The Rustlers and the Thunder will be facing off again tomorrow right to finish off their weekend series. The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the visiting Rustlers was #7 Abraham Murray and for the Thunder #9 Ryan McLaren.
