Rustlers push it to a 5th set and capture the win

EDMONTON AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) took on the visiting Lakeland Rustlers. The Rustlers are tied for 3rd place and the Thunder were looking for their first win. The Rustlers had a huge comeback win pushing the Thunder to a 5th set an winning with extra points.

The Thunder came out swinging and took the first set 25-18. The Thunder kept their arms swinging early in the second, taking an early lead and keeping their foot on the gas, winning the second set 25-21. The Thunder felt comfortable walking into the 3rd and the Rustlers snuck away with a win pushing it to extra sets. The 5th set was back and forth action, the Thunder needed one point to win it, as the Rustlers trailled by 2, but the Rustlers offence helped keep them in the game and capitalized on missed shots by the Thunder, eventually winning it 17-15.

#3 Ryan Teliske lead the way offensively for the Thunder with 18 Kills, while the Rustlers main weapon was #6 Tyler Williamson staking up 12 kills to help get the win over the Thunder.
