EDMONTON AB - Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder finished off their 2018 with a loss against visiting Kings College Eagles 3 sets to 1.
In this back and forth game, the Eagles got the best of the Thunder, but it could have easily gone the other way. The Eagles were able to get the points when it mattered most which was ultimately the deciding factor in this game. The Thunder scored at least 21 points in all three sets they lost, and pushed the second set to extra points to lose 26-24.
With the win, the Eagle's jumped over the Thunder in the standings and have sole possession of 5th place. The Thunder will have a difficult time fighting for a playoff spot when they get back from the winter break.
