Concordia Men's Volleyball Bested by Ambrose University in Three Sets

(EDMONTON, AB) Coming off a tough loss to Lethbridge the previous night, Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) looked to get back on track, going up against the Ambrose University Lions. Despite their best effort, the Thunder fell short as the Lions secured a three-set victory with scores of 25-19, 25-19, and 25-17.

Ambrose University showcased dominance from the start, executing a well-coordinated attack that tested Concordia's defense. Nikita Marchenkov and Kade Miller led Ambrose with a combined 20 kills, securing big points for the Lions throughout the match. Ambrose's Emmitt Juul-Hansen orchestrated the offense effectively, amassing 27 assists to set the tone for the game.

Concordia was led by Kai Rosnau continuing to set up teammates with 19 assists and Van Tooke's productive attacking with a team leading 7 kills. The resilience shown by the Thunder was commendable, but the Lions' well-rounded performance ultimately sealed the victory in straight sets.

CUE Men's Volleyball will look for their next win at home against Northwestern Polytechnic on Friday January 19th.

Here were tonight's One Team Sport players of the game, presented by Co-operators:
