Concordia Thunder Men’s Volleyball Falls Short Against U of A-Augustana

In a thrilling battle at Ralph King Athletic Centre, the Concordia Thunder Men's volleyball team faced a formidable challenge against the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings in their final home game of the season. The visitors secured a 3-1 victory, leaving Ralph King with their first win of the season.

The match unfolded with intense rallies and strategic plays from both sides. U of A-Augustana's Robbie Taylor displayed exceptional attacking skills, contributing 7 kills. The Vikings efficiency in attack and strong defensive coordination secured the first two sets, highlighted by Ricky Birkill and Jake Christensen who combined for 7 blocks in the game.

The Thunder, however, fought back in the third set, rallying behind Alexi Dufour's impressive 16 kills and Parker Hicks' team high 18 digs in the game. The Thunder claimed the set 25-22, signaling a potential comeback. The fourth set unfolded as a closely contested battle, with the Vikings ultimately securing the match with a hard fought 30-28 victory.
