Thunder take down the visiting Rustlers

EDMONTON AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) hosted the visiting Lakeland Rustlers and the Thunder showed their dominance by putting up 62 points to the Rustlers 51.

The Thunder started off the first quarter strong, ending the half with a score of 30-22. The Thunder have had the lead since the opening basket and were able to capitalize with big defensive plays holding the Rustlers at just over 20 points. The 4th quarter was back and forth action and the Rustlers came close to a late game comeback, but #8 Sofia Lucadello drained a late 3 to solidify the win.

This game resulted in the Thunder breaking their 3-way tie in the standings with Lakeland and Kings and gave them a 2-point jump in the standings. The Thunder are currently 3-3 and the Rustlers are 2-4. Next week the Rustlers will be facing off against Keyano and the Thunder will be facing off against Kings College.
