Thunder win back-to-back home games against visiting Clippers

Thunder win back-to-back home games against visiting Clippers

EDMONTON AB – Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder take on the visiting Briercrest Clippers in their game two home-home series. The Thunder ended the weekend with a series sweep winning this game 7-1.

The Clippers opened up the scoring early in the first when #26 Zachary Loewen game the Clippers the lead, the lead lasted for exactly 2 minutes before the Thunder came out and tied it up at 1. The Thunder wouldn't stop there are potted two more before the end of the first going into the second up 3-1. The second period was back and forth and both goalies shut it down right until the last 2 minutes and the Thunder buried one at the 2-minute mark, then again in the dying seconds of the second.

The Thunder kept their wheels turning going into the 3rd and goaltender #1 Garrett Storms was able to keep them at the lone goal.

The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the Clippers was #26 Zach Loewen who opened up the scoring, and for the Thunder was #26 Cory Santoro who got two goals of his own.

Next weekend The Clippers will be facing off November 16th against Augustana Vikings and the Thunder will be taking on the MacEwan Griffins.
