Thunder fall to visiting Trojans

Thunder fall to visiting Trojans

EDMONTON AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder hosted the visiting SAIT Trojans in this Saturdays game to finish off the weekend series. The Thunder were looking to tie up the series, but the Trojans got the better of them with a final score of 7-4.

Not without a fair amount of excitement, the Thunder put up a great battle, being down by two nearing the end of the second and firing back and tying the game up with 2 back-to-back goals a couple seconds apart.

The momentum didn't last as those goals would be the last of the game for the Thunder. The Trojans opened up the scoring in the 3rd period and the Trojans were able to pick up a few more goals pulling away from the Thunder, including an empty net dagger that put an end to the 3rd.

All-in-all it was a good game and a good battle between the two teams, a lot of great attempts and solid hits that could have easily changed the outcome.

The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the visiting Trojans was #11 Jackson McKinstry and for the Thunder was your captain # 7 Adam Moghrabi.
