Thunder Fall Short in a High Scoring Battle vs. Ooks

Thunder Fall Short in a High Scoring Battle vs. Ooks

(EDMONTON AB) For the first time this season, Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) faced off against the NAIT Ooks at Clareview Rec Center. In a high-scoring battle against NAIT, the Thunder fell short with a final score of 9-5.

The game started with both teams trading goals, but NAIT gained momentum, scoring four goals in the first period. Concordia fought back, netting two goals to keep the game within reach. The second period saw intense back-and-forth action, with Concordia managing to match NAIT goal-for-goal. Notable performances came from Concordia's #10 Griffen Ryden and #19 Zachery Carlson, both tallying a goal and an assist. However, NAIT's offensive firepower proved to be the difference, with players like #11 Bryce Osepchuk and #26 Eric Lacombe each contributing three points on the night. Despite their efforts, Concordia couldn't overcome NAIT's offense.

In their next home game, the Thunder will face off against University of Alberta-Augustana on November 4th at Clareview.

Here were tonight's One Team Sport Players of the Game, presented by Co-operators:

NAIT Ooks | #11 Bryce Osepchuk
