Concordia Secures Convincing 7-3 Win in Regular Season Finale

(EDMONTON, AB) In the final home game of the regular season, the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder hosted the SAIT Trojans in a clash that unfolded with a mix of finesse and composure. The game was relatively tame in terms of penalties, with both teams secured in their playoff spots, the Thunder displayed senior leadership, earning a decisive 7-3 victory.

The first period set the tone for the Thunder's dominance, with goals from #39 Ethyn Hopp, #27 Tyler Schendel, and #16 Hunter Leslie. The second period saw a competitive exchange of goals, including contributions from SAIT's #15 Tanner Sidaway and #19 Zach Huber. However, the Thunder remained in control, with Tyler Schendel and Rylan Nivon adding to the scoreboard and pushing their lead ahead. The third period sealed the Thunder's victory, with additional goals from #28 Grayson Reid and #11 Lukas Konashuk on the empty net. Goalie #30 Griffin Bowerman continued his stellar performance, making 36 saves out of 39 shots. Bowerman's consistency and key saves played a crucial role in securing the 7-3 triumph.
