Concordia Thunder Strikes Down NAIT With a 4-2 Victory to Force Game Three

(EDMONTON, AB) In Game 2 of the ACAC Men's Hockey Championship Quarterfinal at Clareview Arena, the Concordia Thunder faced off against the NAIT Ooks in a hard-fought game that saw the Thunder emerge victorious with a final score of 4-2.

The game kicked off with NAIT taking an early lead in the first period with goals from Brandon Lawson and Jackson Hassman, but Concordia quickly responded with a goal from Zachery Carlson, ending the period 2-1 in favor of NAIT. The Thunder turned the tide in the second period, dominating with three unanswered goals. Zachary Cunningham, Rylan Nivon, and Grayson Reid all found the back of the net, allowing the Thunder to take the 4-2 lead. The third period remained scoreless, sealing the Thunder's victory.

Concordia's defense was stellar throughout the game, with goaltender Ashton Billesberger making an impressive 48 saves out of 50 shots on goal. Offensively, Rylan Nivon and Zachery Carlson stood out, each contributing a goal and multiple assists to secure the win.

Game 3 of the series will be tomorrow at NAIT Arena. With this win, the Thunder tie the series 1-1 and have pushed the series to a third and final deciding game.
