Hard-Fought Battle: NAIT Ooks Secure 1-0 Win Over Concordia Thunder

Hard-Fought Battle: NAIT Ooks Secure 1-0 Win Over Concordia Thunder

(EDMONTON, AB) On Saturday afternoon, the Concordia Thunder men's soccer team went up against the NAIT Ooks in a closely contested match. A highly competitive game by both teams, but the Ooks managed to secure a 1-0 victory over the Thunder.

Throughout the initial half of the game, both teams found it tough to breach their opponent's defensive strategies. NAIT recorded 4 shots and 3 saves, while Concordia managed 3 shots and 4 saves. The players were evenly matched, and it was clear that this game would be decided by a single decisive moment. That moment came in the 75th minute when Emany Katiki of NAIT found the back of the net with an assist from Elijah Bossio. It was the lone goal of the game, which gave NAIT the lead and the win.

The One Team Sport players of the game were #24 Emany Katiki for the Ooks and #13 Theo Teng-Yang for the Thunder. The Thunder will look to get back on track as they prepare for their next game against the NWP Wolves. The next regular season home game will be on October 20th at the Ralph King Field starting at 4 PM.
