Ooks defeat Thunder in battle of Edmonton

EDMONTON, AB (October 22nd, 2022) – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder welcomed NAIT Ooks to the ice for game two of the weekend hoping to make a comeback from Friday's loss.

In the first period, there were minimal penalties. Concordia Thunder sent a barrage of shots early on with not much luck. NAIT Ooks with less than half the shots on net, #4 Bjorn Robinson found an opportunity and put NAIT on the board.

In the second period, things got heated early on. A total of five penalties within two minutes of each other. In this period, a total of six penalties (four of them Concordia) on 12 total shots with no goals.

In the third period, with even amounts of shots and only one penalty, #11 Bryce Osepchuk picked up one more goal to achieve a 2-0 lead. The game ends with Ooks winning despite Concordia last-minute attempts.

The One Team Sport players of the game were #4 Bjorn Robinson from NAIT with a goal and an assist in the night, and #41 Edge Lambert from the Thunder. The next home game for the Thunder takes place November 4th where they will take on the SAIT Trojans.
