Concordia Thunder Men's Hockey History
The Concordia Thunder men’s hockey team began conference play in the Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference (ACAC) in the in the 1995-96 season, and stands as one of the oldest programs at Concordia. Through 25 years of conference play, the men’s hockey program has made the playoffs 17 times – including 11 straight years from 2002-03 to 2012-13. Through those appearance, the Thunder men’s hockey program has fought their way to the ACAC Conference Championship Series twice, including being crowned the 2002-03 ACAC Conference Champions. The Thunder men’s hockey team has produced 23 ACAC All-Conference Athletes through the year, including 10 of those athletes being named to the ACAC All-Conference First Team. Current head coach and 2024-25 ACAC Coach of the Year Rod Ohlhauser took over the program in 2023, looking to take the program to even greater heights.
